Flower gets a haircut

Flower gets a haircut!

She is a fur growing machine I tell you...this is only 2 months worth of growth and she was as wooly as can be! Her head looked to small for her body when she has all her fur and after her head looks too big...She is really just a little thing under all that fur! :)

Billboards are up!

This one is very near the very most evil pet store in Spokane. I know most of my rescued bunnies came from this store. I hope this message gets through to some people.

This year we are honoring Swizzle on our billboards. She lived with us for 9 years and she died in my arms July 6th 2009. Beautiful, silly Swizzle!

Little Scout

Little Scout is another former daycare rabbit. He lived in a small cage and sat alone on weekends and nights. He lived there a couple of years and while he was there he depended on the teachers to care for him. The teachers had enough to do with the kids and didn’t have much time to devote to Scout. Scout did get to run around sometimes but mostly he sat in his little cage and waited.

He is bonded to Zipper and these two tiny buns love to run at top speed everywhere and investigate all of the other rabbits.

When came home to us he was welcomed into the family. He loves to cuddle while watching tv. He has such a big heart and so much love to give it’s hard to believe he’s only a two pound rabbit! Scout teaches us that animals have feelings and love to give, and living in a small cage is no life for a rabbit.

Zipper the Rabbit

Zipper is a super model. She has stared in several photo shoots for the Rabbitron campaign. She is a very petite girl with a big attitude. She is very lively and even though she is so small she needs a whole lot of room to run. She is very feisty for being so small and often picks a fight with bunnies much bigger than herself. She almost had her modeling career ruined when she got bit on the nose by Fuzzy, but luckily a veterinarian was able to sew it up almost as good as new.

Zipper's bonded companion is Little Scout, he is a polish and is only 2 lbs himself. The tiny and energetic duo of Zipper and Scout rule the rabbit house, neither of them seem to notice that they are a fraction of the size of the other rabbits!

Zipper shows us that bunnies have different personalities, and require us to figure out what their needs are and do our best to accomodate them. Let them live out their dreams (even if it’s a modeling career) and to take them to the vet for care when they need it.
